Dear Friends of Unite for Dignity:

This year, Unite for Dignity celebrates our 4th year as a community organization building immigrant leaders in Miami. This year UFD has taken on many new projects and campaigns, including the Haitian Voter assistance project, partnering to train canvassers with Mi Familia Vota, and training community translators for more multi-lingual participation in community events and meetings. We have also worked hard on the campaign for DREAM ACT and Comprehensive Immigration Reform. We have supported workers rights in demonstrations at Pan American Hospital, Local 11 Condominiums and Nursing Home Workers at Mount Sinai, Watercrest and West Broward.

We’re writing to let you know about a special UFD grassroots fundraising opportunity. Over the last four years, Unite for Dignity has developed a solid base of grassroots immigrant leaders. This spring our leadership committee is taking on a new project; participating in raising funds for UFD’s operations.

Unite for Dignity is lucky to have committed supporters in many different communities and to show our appreciation for culture, we are holding a raffle to give away a painting by renowned Haitian Artist, Wilfrid Daleus. The painting is called “Action de Grace” (Thanksgiving) www.daleus.com.

Please join our leadership committee in reaching their goal of raising $10,000 to support UFD by purchasing a packet of tickets in our raffle. The raffle tickets are $10.00 each and the raffle will be held on August 17th. If you are not in Miami, we will send you your raffle numbers via mail and we will send an email announcing the WINNER.
